Lead Asset Logistics Technician - Mccarran, NV

The Lead Asset Logistics Technician is responsible for guiding other team members in tracking deliveries and inventory. The position requires a high level of accuracy and communicates frequently with other team members. The Lead Asset Logistics Technician demonstrates BGIS values in communications with clients and other team members.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Asset Logistics Activities :

  • Provide guidance and priority setting for other team members to ensure activities are completed on a timely and quality basis.
  • Ensure other team members have appropriate training to be able to complete functions following company policies and procedures and safety protocols.
  • Accept all hardware deliveries and manage asset status as it relates to the movement of assets in and out of the data center.
  • Monitor the spare parts inventor and RMA handling, packaging, and scheduling shipments of all equipment and assets.
  • Audit asset status in data center daily.
  • Work directly with other Asset Logistics Technicians and coordinate to support the asset integration and decommissioning efforts of the data center.
  • Support any additional efforts related to shipping and receiving as assigned by the Asset Logistics Lead or Supervisor.
  • Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum two years proven experience in asset management or data center shipping / receiving. Experience in asset tracking or ALM (Asset Logistics Management) software. Strong attention to detail and extremely well organized with proven ability to work on several simultaneous projects and programs. Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to data center operations. Great interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in a team environment to provide support and excellent customer service. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
