Join our team as a Specialist Direct Support Professional Position : Program Specialist- Twin Cities Area including Maple Lake and Buffalo areas.

Schedule : Part Time Position- 16 hours / week. Specialists need to be available between 6a-10p every other weekend for scheduling purposes.

Job Summary : As a Specialist, you will support our people served with daily activities that include working on outcomes designed for each person served at a variety of residential group homes.

Outcomes are designed to increase independent in skills. These may include learning more about community resources, finding hobbies, working on personal cares and meal preparations / planning or budgeting.

We tailor our services to each person and their needs and wishes. Additionally, as a Specialist, the position entails medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and personal cares for persons served.

As a Specialist, you will need to be comfortable with driving to various locations throughout the Twin Cities area, including Maple Lake and Cottage Grove, MN.

Specialists are cross-trained at numerous homes and must be able to work with a wide variety of persons with intellectual disabilities, autism, medical needs, assist with personal cares (i.

e. showering / bathing / changes), and mental health diagnosis. Requirements :

• To be at least 21 years of age due to DHS Child Foster Care Licensing.
• Have a vehicle with current car insurance
• Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
• Successful clearance from a DHS background Study
• Experience working with challenging behaviors, autism, and / or mental health is preferred
