The Senior Estimator will be a vital member of the preconstruction / estimating team, responsible for collecting and analyzing data to create detailed budgets, estimates, and pre-bid packages that maximize profitability.
The role includes conceptual estimating, cost analysis, and estimate coordination. The Senior Estimator will also be responsible for creating a bidders list, soliciting and assessing subcontractor proposals and scopes of work, preparing quantity surveys, and evaluating project plans and specifications for constructability and value-added design.
The role may also involve supervising other estimators, project engineers, or interns. Key responsibilities of the Senior Estimator include collaborating with the project team to determine and execute the best strategies for winning new projects, understanding, reviewing and executing the bid requirements within the established deadlines, and developing comprehensive, accurate, and competitive conceptual estimates and budgets.
The Senior Estimator will also prequalify bidders, analyze cost drivers of projects and develop strategies to reduce costs, coordinate schedule and general condition requirements with the project team, and assist in client presentations and preconstruction meetings as necessary.
The Senior Estimator will seek out and qualify new subcontractors / vendors, build, strengthen and foster subcontract

Requirements
- Must have minimum 8 years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a general contractor, construction manager or sub
- Experience with running small to medium size projects in commercial, Multifamily or industrial fields
- Undergraduate degree in construction field a plus
- Experience managing a team is a plus
- Experience with ground up projects
- Good tenure
- Flexible personality
- Strong software and technology skills is a plus
Compensation & Benefits :
- Salary ranging from $100,000-$150,000 based on experience
- WFH / HYBRID work schedule
- Bonus potential 10% is typical but can be higher
