Recovery Center of Niagara is an organization focusing on the care and treatment of those suffering from substance and alcohol use disorder that has partnered with DailyPay for same day access to funds! Our medical facility is located in Newfane and provides each step of care from the detox, medication assisted treatment, rehab and recovery therapy. We are seeking a self-motivated Substance Use Counselor to join our team! We are currently taking applications for CASAC-Ts, CASAC-P, CASACs, MHCs, LMSWs, LCSWs, and LMFTs . The ideal candidate will display strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work with diverse population , and strong documentation and organizational skills.

Applicants must have a CASAC-T, CASAC, MHC, LMSW, or LCSW

Position Description :

Counselor will manage a caseload of patients admitted to the Program. Counselor will perform essential counseling functions including intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, referrals, individual and group counseling, case management, reporting and record keeping and care coordination.

Responsibilities :

1. Maintain and manage a caseload

2. Weekly individual and group counseling sessions (as assigned)

3. Performs assessment and intake as needed

4. Assist with the development of clinical treatment tracks that are diversified in language and culture that will meet the treatment and service needs of patients and families

5. Assist with weekly utilization reviews based on established clinical and administrative protocols

6. Assist with monthly skills-based workshops relative to chemical dependency

7. Assist with the review, process and distribute incident reports based on established agency-wide protocol as directed

8. Provide input for employee reviews as requested

9. Assist in the preparation of weekly case conference and case reviews

10. Assist with the assessment and intake process

11. Assist with the clinical discharge process

12. Responsible for adhering to a standard of maintaining 10 billable units of service per day based on caseload

13. Record individual patient data in NYC HRA STARS as required weekly / monthly

14. Monitors patient toxicology testing

15. Maintain a clean work environment

• Newfane, NY 14108 : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience :

Addiction counseling : 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location : Newfane, NY 15 minutes from Lockport NY!!
