As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for everyone on site. What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, observations, and security-related incidents as required by site protocols.

Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as appropriate to address issues arising during the shift.

Assist with access control procedures for staff, visitors, and residents to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.

Support a welcoming environment while helping to deter disruptive behavior in and around the location.

Minimum Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.

A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
