JOB DESCRIPTION: To perform and oversee the construction aspects of the design/build company with Field Manager. To communicate daily with Field Manager regarding job coordination and administrative needs. Manage crew directly in-field and organization of job as daily discussed with Field Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To include the following:
FIELD:
• Follow directions of Field Manager; coordinate and negotiate delegation of project tasks.
• Direct and supervise the work of up to three crew members
• Perform work outlined on scope sheet
• Fine carpentry (decks, fences, planter boxes, etc.) and other landscape construction trades
• Irrigation system planning, installation and repair; outdoor lighting
• Grading; stone work
• Routine horticultural tasks including fine pruning, mulching, weeding
• Work with Maintenance Lead on maintenance sites performing tasks as needed
• Conduct regular Safety Meetings if needed by decision of Field Manager
• Maintain the whereabouts of all company property; keep storage organized and equipment repaired and in good order
• Interact with clients in a professional manner at all times, communicating to the Field Manager general information, client requests and concerns no later than the day after the site visit
ADMINISTRATIVE:
• Check in and out at the beginning and end of each work day with Field Manager and Admin
• Track crew hours
• Plan ahead for order placement and delivery and coordinate with Field Manager
• Communicate with clients, staff and crew if Field Manager is not available
• Notify Field Manager of any errors/incongruence/complications with design plans
• Notify Field Manager immediately of any errors/incongruence/complications with job proposal, and if any delays or postponements occur
• Maintain all invoices and receipts, specifying on each what job site they pertain to and submit to Field Manager
• Maintain immediate accessibility to design drawings for each current job
• Rely on SOP, Job Sequence for procedure of job completion
• Attend weekly crew/staff field meetings
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
