The Team : The Local Government, South Region provides ratings for counties, municipalities, and school districts throughout the southern U.S. You will join a professional team of analysts that maintains a strong culture of analytical excellence and customer service in a supportive and collegial environment, so effective teamwork and a thoughtful approach to problem-solving is highly valued.

Responsibilities and Impact : This position is key to maintaining our market relevance and meeting our transaction requirements. As a Grade 9 professional, you will contribute to team initiatives while taking accountability for individual targets. Specifically, in this role, you will :

• Conducting in-depth research and preparing comprehensive documents and presentations for rating committees, demonstrating strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues
• Attend rating committee meetings alongside senior analysts as assigned, actively participating and contributing towards team goals
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of ratings criteria and financial statement analysis
• Assist in the collection and analysis of data on special projects, resolving issues that are often varied and non-routine
• Collaborating with analysts to publish periodic thought leadership articles
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
• We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer
