Job descriptionPromote dental health by conducting dental prophylaxis, oral cancer screenings, radiographic studies, and documenting conditions of decay and disease in accordance with the Dental Practice Act. Prepare patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping them appropriately. Provide information and assistance to patients and team members by responding to questions and requests. Maintain instruments for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting appropriate tools. Evaluate patients' oral health to select the necessary materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits. Perform dental prophylaxis by removing deposits and stains from teeth and underneath gum margins. Detect diseases by performing oral cancer screenings, examining gums, utilizing probes for periodontal assessment, and conducting radiographic studies. Prevent dental decay by applying fluoride treatments and other cavity-preventing agents. Must possess an active dental hygiene license in OH. Knowledgeable about dental procedures and terminology. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices.
Pay Range : $45.00 - $70.00 / hour
