About The Position

Job Title : Corrections Med / Surg RN

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have :

• Experience in corrections, LTAC, or psychiatric nursing
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration
• Proficient in peripheral line care / management, wound care, and computerized documentation

Description :

Corrections Med / Surg RN needed for divisional units.

Full-time position requires 5 shifts per week with every other weekend worked.

All staff are required to float to various facilities at the discretion of the organization.

No holiday time off is permitted, and no time off is allowed the day before or after a holiday.

All clinicians must be flexible to float outside of their primary area of competency.

Floating may occur up to 50 miles from the home facility.

Travelers may receive notification to float 2 hours before their shift.

If a clinician refuses to float, they may face cancellation of their contract.

No block scheduling or special requests for time off will be accommodated.

Time off requests must comply with the organization's policy.

The maximum allowable time off is 5 days with no more than 2 consecutive days.

Daily census and patient ratios may vary based on facility needs.

Candidates must be responsive and timely in completing all compliance requirements.

Lab work must be completed promptly after accepting an assignment.

Failure to meet requirements may result in risk of continued assignment.
