Job description

Palo Alto Firewall / Network Administrator

Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Palo Alto Firewall / Network Administrator in FT Meade, MD. This will be an "est. 6+ Month Contract to Possible Permanent Hire or Contract Extension", supporting one of our largest DoD / Government Clients on the East Coast & Nationwide! Please see below for all position details.

Job Title : Palo Alto Firewall / Network Administrator

Location : FT Meade, MD

Contract Layout : est. 6+ Month Contract to Possible Permanent Hire or Contract Extension

Contract Pay Rate : $62.00 - $70.00 / Hourly

Starting Salary at Permanent Conversion : $128,000 & Full Benefits

Requirements

  • Top Secret Clearance (Eligibility)
  • Sec+CE
  • 1+ Years of Palo Alto Firewall / Products Experience
  • Linux CLI Experience

Job Description

  • Works independently to perform configuration of assets to include Cisco switches, load balancers, routers, and Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, updates and implement security measures on Cisco Juniper, Dell network assets.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, configuration management, and change management efforts accurately and timely
  • Complete checklists and manage devices to mitigate cyber security controls and measures as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of global projects for Network architecture upgrades by providing technical insight, projected necessary actions, timelines, and resource availability
  • Implement recurring security requirements on network devices
  • Communicate with external partners to coordinate troubleshooting efforts where required.
  • Utilize moderate System Administration skills in both Linux and Windows environments to navigate current systems while managing network assets.
