Job description

Republic Airways Internship Program

Republic Airways is proud to offer an internship program that prepares students for the workforce. While we provide resources to help interns sharpen skills and make meaningful contributions in their department, we also provide the following during the internships :

  • Ability to shadow various departments
  • Cross-departmental exposure through potential projects
  • Intern outings / field trips to help better understand the aviation industry
  • Opportunities to work from the Company's various locations

  • Additional opportunities to work with other interns directly on projects
  • Service opportunities to work with Republic's various charitable partners
  • Ability to work with external industry entities
  • The possibility of traveling for work
  • Access to the corporate Fitness Center

Essential duties include :

  • Researches and collaborates on corporate giving strategy
  • Coordinates fundraising efforts for company initiatives
  • Manages event planning for local organization partnerships
  • Represents Republic Airways and CCR at community events when needed
  • Helps plan and implement departmental programs
  • Collaborates with other departments to create CCR opportunities across the company
  • Writes communication posts and creates graphics and digital content for internal / external communication purposes
  • Maintains necessary files related to partnerships and sponsorships

    • Education and / or experience requirements include :

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Has a passion for being involved in the community
  • Able to effectively communicate and present information to senior management

    • Other qualifications include :

  • Ability to work in Indianapolis, IN
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

    • Language skills include :

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors

    • Reasoning / problem solving ability includes :

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

    • Decision making includes :

  • Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction
  • Decisions often require some thought without established precedents or procedures
  • Decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results

    • Physical demands include :

  • Able to move about the work environment
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear

    • Work environment includes :

  • Typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions

    • Travel requirements include :

  • Travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel
