The Opportunity :
We are seeking an experienced Director of R&D Data Integration to design, implement, and scale integration solutions that enhance research productivity and data integrity across the R&D informatics landscape. This role will be pivotal in enabling scientists and data managers to focus on innovation by streamlining repetitive workflows, integrating research platforms, and building robust, automated data pipelines. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and domain knowledge in life sciences R&D informatics, with a strong track record of delivering integration initiatives in modern and complex R&D environments. The incumbent will call upon their expertise to provide these key responsibilities :
- Define and drive the integration roadmap in alignment with research informatics and broader R&D objectives.
- Participate with senior management to develop data integration strategy plans and objectives.
- Evaluate and advise on emerging technologies and tools (e.g., middleware, workflow orchestration, data integration platforms, AI / ML‑assisted data integration).
- Partner with scientific stakeholders to identify high‑impact opportunities for integration and centralization.
- Design, develop, and implement automated workflows for data capture, processing, and analysis across research systems (e.g., ELNs, LIMS, sample management, high‑throughput screening platforms).
- Lead the integration of disparate research informatics tools, ensuring seamless data flow between laboratory instruments, databases, and analytical platforms.
- Act as a bridge between research scientists, IT, and informatics teams to translate scientific needs into automated integration solutions.
- Oversee the regulatory, security, and data integrity requirements and compliance of all integration solutions.
- Manage documentation, training materials, and user guides to support adoption and maintainability.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
- Promote the RevMed culture of empowerment, inclusion, and innovation.
- Strategically manage a team of data engineers to execute high‑level integration projects.
Required Skills, Experience and Education :
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related discipline.15+ years of experience in research informatics, automation engineering, or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong programming / scripting skills (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript, SQL).Hands‑on experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., Airflow, KNIME, UiPath, Nextflow, or similar).Deep understanding of R&D informatics systems (ELN, LIMS, sample tracking, assay data management).Demonstrated success in leading integration initiatives that improved efficiency and scientific throughput.Able to plan strategically for a scalable and sustainable infrastructure.Preferred Skills :
Experience with Benchling & Cenevo Mosaic and Genedata Screener.Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical research informatics environments.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern DevOps practices.Knowledge of data standards (e.g., FAIR principles, Allotrope, HL7, CDISC).Exposure to AI / ML‑driven integration approaches.Experience with data lake technologies such as Databricks or Snowflake.#J-18808-Ljbffr
