Position Summary
The HR and Finance Associate supports key administrative processes across the human resources and finance departments, including onboarding / offboarding, recruitment coordination, labor relations, employee recordkeeping, and financial data entry. This role ensures a smooth experience for new hires and candidates; maintains HR systems and calendars; assists with invoice processing, deposits, and journal entries; and provides general support for cross-departmental projects. The position reports to the Director, Human Resources.
The position is full-time, exempt and is based in Washington, DC, with the option to work from home up to four days per week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, offer letters, new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, and exit procedures.
Post job openings on internal and external job boards.
Maintain accurate employee records in BambooHR and other systems as needed.
Prepare in-house deposit details for entry into accounting software.
