In a 1 : 1 ABA setting, you will actively engage with children between the ages of 18 months to 8 years, applying ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive center environment. With exceptional supervision and continuous training, you will make a tangible difference every single day!

Responsibilities of a Behavior Therapist :

  • Implement ABA principles to support children with Autism in reaching their full potential. This includes understanding treatment plans, executing sessions as per guidelines, documenting progress, and applying feedback from supervisors.
  • Encourage child development through creative and engaging therapeutic activities tailored for early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years).
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to enhance therapy quality, safety, and foster an enjoyable working atmosphere within the center.
  • Interact with children through energetic play, which may involve activities such as running, dancing, singing, reading, or playing with toys, while maintaining a joyful ambiance.
  • Communicate efficiently with families, peers, and supervisors to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and articulate individual needs.

Essential Requirements :

  • Physical Capability : Ability to lift and engage with children in a fast-paced environment, including lifting up to 30 lbs and moving swiftly to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
  • Maintain a conducive therapy environment : Ensure play areas are organized and stimulating for children.
  • Multitasking Skills : Balance various tasks and prioritize safety and needs in dynamic situations.
  • Team Collaboration : Support center, neighborhood, and regional teams, including travel to nearby centers as needed.
  • Transportation : Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary.
  • A minimum of 18 years of age and possession of a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Complete the RBT certification within 20 days of employment, which includes finishing a 40-hour training, hands-on competency assessment, and passing the requisite exam.

  • Pay Based on Experience :

  • Associates / High School : $20.00 - $24.00
  • Bachelors : $20.00 - $25.50
  • Masters : $20.00 - $28.00
  • Earn your first raise upon RBT certification, typically achieved within 21 days.

    Preferred Experience :

  • Childcare roles (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, etc).
  • Mental health advocacy and support roles (behavioral health technicians).
  • Experience as camp counselors or in volunteer positions.
  • Degrees in teaching, special education, psychology, or related fields.
  • Background as paraprofessionals or direct support workers.
  • A passion for working with children on the autism spectrum.
