Your Role as Manager of Brand and Creative Strategy
The Manager of Brand and Creative Strategy plays a key role in shaping and executing College Possible's brand and creative initiatives across the organization. This position provides hands-on design leadership for high-priority projects, manages external creative partners-including agencies, freelancers, and vendors-and ensures brand consistency across all national and regional communications. The role is part of the National Marketing and Communications team and provides strategic guidance to communications staff at College Possible's seven regional sites, helping streamline asset production, maintain brand alignment, and optimize creative across website, email, social, video, print, and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of high-impact visual campaigns across digital, print, social media, and multimedia channels.
- As a key member of the National Marketing and Communications team, guides website visual strategy and optimization to ensure brand consistency, accessibility, and effective storytelling.
- Oversee the College Possible brand at all regional sites, working closely with site communications staff to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
- Identify ways to streamline creative asset production, improving efficiency while maintaining brand integrity.
- Partner with external creative vendors, agencies, and freelancers to execute strategic initiatives while ensuring quality and brand alignment.
- Maintain and evolve College Possible's brand identity, including brand guidelines, templates, and asset libraries, and provide guidance to internal teams and regional sites to ensure consistent application across all channels.
- Collaborate with program, development, and communications teams to translate organizational goals into visually compelling and strategically effective campaigns.
- Design and implement creative testing strategies across all channels-including website, email, social, and digital content-to optimize engagement, conversions, and overall effectiveness.
- Stay current on social media trends and emerging digital tools to inform creative strategy and optimize audience engagement across channels.
- Manage timelines, project communications, and budgets for assigned creative initiatives.
- Act as a consultative resource to internal teams on brand, design, website strategy, and creative best practices.
🔍 What We're Looking For
🎓 Education
Bachelor's degree required
🧠 Experience
7-10 years of experience in graphic design, brand, or marketing roles, preferably in a nonprofit or education-focused organization.Hands-on design experience across digital, print, social, and multimedia channels, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
Experience managing creative projects with external partners, agencies, or freelancers.Experience providing strategic guidance to other communications staff or teams.Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, storytelling, branding, and multi-channel creative work.Experience with creative testing and optimization strategies across website, email, digital campaigns, and other channels.Familiarity with website design principles, UX / UI best practices, and accessibility standards.Other Skills, Abilities and Requirements
Proficiency in Marketing Cloud preferredSocial media management experience preferredExceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills.Ability to translate organizational goals into compelling design and creative solutions.Passion for College Possible's mission and commitment to student success.Strong project management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize requests and meet deadlinesCollaborative and consultative approach to working with internal stakeholders, the National Marketing and Communications team, site communications staff, and external partners.Ability to maintain brand consistency while driving innovative creative solutions across channels.Understanding of digital marketing trends, creative testing, and accessible design practices.🏥 What We Offer
