The Inpatient Physical Therapist will report directly to the Physical Therapy Manager and will collaborate with Senior Physical Therapists. The Physical Therapist will provide excellent care by conducting exercises that help restore proper function in patients struggling with a variety of ailments. The Inpatient Physical Therapist will be joining a department that has a well-established Rehabilitation program.

The Physical Therapist will supervise all of Physical Therapy exercises and will be responsible for patient assessment, treatment planning and implementation of new activities. They will encourage participation and provide guidance to both patients, nursing staff and family members when reviewing instructions. The Inpatient Physical Therapist will accurately document patient progress and report any changes to their multidisciplinary team. They will focus primarily on assisting patients with traumatic injuries or who are in the postoperative period after an invasive surgery. The experienced Physical Therapist will provide their patients with personalized care plans with the goal to decrease pain with movement and increase mobility and range of motion. They will also be an advocate for their patients and ensure that they have all necessary resources and equipment required for them to be safely discharged from the hospital.
