Mechanic & Tire Helper |C&D Scrap Metal Recyclers

The Role

The Mechanic & Tire Helper will assist the Mechanic in the maintenance of all vehicles. The role involves making sure that all vehicles and equipment are operating safely. This is a key role that helps minimize downtime and keeps the operation running efficiently.

Responsibilities

Report directly to Maintenance Supervisor

Perform tire rotations to ensure even tire wear

Repair tire punctures and install new tires as required.

Maintain inventory control, order materials, and manage stock levels

Ensure safety procedures are adhered to during all operations.

Inspect Company Vehicles for correct tire pressure and visible damage.

All other responsibilities that may be determined as relevant to the role.

Location & commitments

Full-time.

Some travel to satellite locations may be required.

Candidate requirements

Mechanical Experience

Class 8 Truck Tire Repair

Class 8 Truck Tire Repair Removal and Mounting

Detail oriented.

Computer literacy and familiarity with basic Office programs, including the ability to learn.

Minimum of 2+ years of experience
