Security Specialist

You will serve as a Security Specialist within the Security Branch, Director of Operations Division, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO). Responsibilities include developing policies and procedures and providing guidance for the personnel security program. You will serve as the leading security authority in the management of command's classified information. You will also serve as the contracting officer for security matters for classified contracts within OPNAV offices. You will ensure that physical security policy, design, surveys, and installed protective systems are in place prior to certification for storage of classified information.

Qualifications : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties : 1) Coordinating and applying innovative security practices and principles in the resolution of technical, policy, or procedural issues; 2) Conducting Personnel Security investigations; 3) Performing security clearance and access management; 4) Classifying and safeguarding documents.
