State Licensed Coverage Counsel

A company is looking for a Senior Claims Coverage Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal opinions and advice on coverage issues in various P&C claims

Review or draft coverage recommendations, reservations of rights, and denial letters for complex claims

Strategize on processes for effective handling of claims in compliance with state laws and assist with compliance training programs

Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Active license in good standing to practice law in the relevant state(s)

5+ years of experience in insurance litigation and coverage issues

Strong familiarity with legal research databases and tools

Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
