1. Job Summary
The Licensing Manager is responsible for overseeing all licensing operations across North America and LATAM, managing contract lifecycles, maintaining strong relationships with licensees and agencies, and driving new business opportunities. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders, including the HQ, Legal, Finance, and Marketing team, to ensure seamless execution of licensing programs and continued revenue growth.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Licensee & Contract Management
- Manage active licensing contracts across the Americas and lead all day-to-day communication with licensees and agencies.
- Oversee all contract-related matters, including product additions, term adjustments, and renewals; Execute new agreements, amendments, renewals, and agency contracts in collaboration with the Legal team.
- Provide brand updates, market insights, and strategic highlights to support licensees’ sales efforts.
- Collaborate with licensees to plan, refine, and execute marketing strategies aligned with brand guidelines and major product initiatives.
- Review and provide feedback on marketing proposals, product launch plans, and promotional calendars to ensure consistency with global brand direction.
- Review quarterly product launch decks, ensuring accuracy in product data, brand compliance, and complete product documentation across all categories.
- Provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to ensure smooth execution of licensing programs, including project tracking, cross-functional coordination, and documentation management.
B. New Business Development
Conduct proactive outreach—including cold calls, targeted emails, and networking—to identify and qualify potential new licensees across key categories and regions.Prepare compelling pitch decks and deliver tailored business presentations to communicate brand value, product opportunities, and market potential.Lead end-to-end deal processes, including opportunity assessment, negotiation of commercial terms, and alignment with internal stakeholders to secure new licensing partnerships.C. Royalty, Forecast & Reporting
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly sales forecasts and royalty reports to assess licensee performance, identify trends, and flag risks or irregularities.Provide regular business updates to internal stakeholders, summarizing key insights across sales performance, forecast changes, and business risks / opportunities.Deliver ad-hoc analysis and strategic reports—including product / category performance reviews, market insights, and new IP business updates for the Americas—to support internal decision-making and long-term planning.D. Business Planning
Develop annual business plans by IP and contract, including revenue targets, category strategy, and long-term growth objectives.Establish KPIs and budget allocations to support strategic priorities and measure licensee performance.Continuously monitor results and market dynamics, providing data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to guide business direction.E. Event Preparation & Participation
Lead all planning and coordination for Licensing Expos, including booth design, logistics, meeting management, and on-site execution.Represent the brand at global industry events, presenting new opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing and prospective licensees.3. Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience in licensing, preferably in IP industry.Fluency in speaking and writing Korean is a strong plus.Strong project management and communication skills to handle multi-stakeholder collaboration effectively.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.4.
