Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift contract in Ohio, requiring BLS, ACLS, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule : 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, with rotating holiday coverage
  • Estimated patient ratios of 1 : 1 to 1 : 2
  • Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing
  • Floating assignments will not occur more than once every 4 weeks
  • Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
  • Must submit all requests for time off with initial application
  • Former employees eligible after a 6-month separation; current employees ineligible at Ohio State University hospital locations
  • Holiday coverage is rotated among staff

    • Requirements

  • Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Required skills : IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Two professional references required, at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership
