Civil Construction Laborer - Traveler Position

Construction Laborer

We are seeking dedicated construction laborers to work locally in Lebanon, IN. The primary role involves installing fences and wattles to prevent erosion. This includes driving posts by hand using a pneumatic post driver, attaching fence to steel T-posts, and ensuring the fence is properly installed in the trench created by a silt fence plow. Laborers are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the fences, as well as cleaning them with shovels as sediment accumulates. Though heavy equipment operators will handle larger tasks, laborers will not operate heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fences and wattles to prevent erosion.
• Manually drive posts using a pneumatic post driver.
• Ensure proper installation of fences in trenches.
• Clean sediment from fences using shovels.
• Maintain a high level of communication and awareness on a busy construction site.

Work Environment

The construction site is located on open farmland in Lebanon, IN, and is subject to Indiana's varied weather conditions. Laborers will work primarily during the day shift from 7 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Sunday, with the possibility of a night shift. The environment demands strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and requires a professional appearance and behavior in accordance with the site code of conduct.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
