Business Development Manager
Techlite, a division of The Zippertubing Company, is a leader in acoustic and insulation products. Techlite, a manufacturer for more than 50 years, located in Tempe, AZ is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence in the acoustic panel and specialty insulation industries. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing and executing marketing strategies, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding of manufacturing solutions with a proven ability to close deals and build lasting business relationships. Lead business development, client engagement, technical project execution, and sales development for our industry-leading acoustic treatment and insulation product systems. This role combines consultative selling with hands-on project management to deliver high-performance products across architectural, industrial, and commercial spaces.
Job Specific Responsibilities :
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and company growth goals
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, partners, and industry contacts
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new contracts
- Identify key trends in the industry while analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, and operations) to align customer needs with capabilities
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM systems
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients
- Report on sales metrics, pipeline activity, and market insights to leadership
Qualifications / Experience :

Environment / Physical Demands :
As part of this job, the candidate can anticipate working in an office with multiple occupants, attending virtual team meetings, and visiting customers in person as needed. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate. Standard office equipment like computers, phones, and photocopiers will be used regularly. There may be times when the candidate will need to report to our Chandler facility for training and meetings.
