Job description

Receiving Specialist Day Shift Monday-Friday Occasional overtime as needed Martin Door is a proud member of the Midland Garage Door Family.

Martin Door operates within Midland as an independent company.  Martin Door is seeking a skilled Receiving Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures.
  • Receive raw material and verify against the packing slip.
  • Accurately code and receive goods to the proper location.
  • Supply material as needed and / or requested to the production line and other departments.
  • Assist in preparation for, and completion of inventory.
  • Generate labels as required.
  • Keep all parts in responsibility adequately always stocked.
  • Communicate with a supervisor or Purchasing Department when materials / supplies are running low.
  • Adheres to all facets of safety policies and procedures.

Marginal Duties :

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • One year of incoming inventory / materials experience in a manufacturing setting  Forklift certification is required and able to demonstrate written and practical knowledge for onsite certification, is required  Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted  Ability to self-manage and multi-task  Ability to work in, and promote, a team environment  Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and written, to ensure a clear understanding of work instructions and safety protocols.

    • Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities CANDIDATES OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST AND BACKGROUND CHECK PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
