Doctor's Assistant - Ophthalmology at Quantum Vision Centers
Location : Swansea, IL
Travel : Travel to other offices within about an hour radius will be required as needed. Mileage reimbursement provided.
Pay : $19 / hr (can increase with experience)
Hours : Full Time Monday?Friday 8?am?5?pm; Saturday 8?am?12?pm. Flexibility required.

An Ophthalmic Technician assists an Ophthalmologist in providing excellent patient care during visits. The employee handles a wide range of duties, using equipment to perform initial testing required for the exam.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounterGreet patients promptly with a smile and express gratitudeMaintain urgency in managing patient and doctor schedulesComply with company policies, procedures, and HIPAAVerify patient information by interviewing the patientRecord medical history, current medications, and purpose of visitEnter all data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Check eye condition via observation of pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movementsPerform diagnostic tests : dilation, refraction, pressures, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, autorefractor, and topographyDemonstrate knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and ocular medicationsPerform general office duties and cleaning as assignedOther Skills and Abilities
