Overview
Chicago Title's downtown Chicago Loop operation seeks an escrow officer to coordinate, close and fund residential transactions in a large, dynamic market.
Duties
- Review documents and closing instructions submitted by attorneys and lenders for compliance and requirements to close
- Communicate requirements and give status updates to all parties in the transaction whether those parties are in person or remotely attending the closing
- Finalize settlement statements and distribute to appropriate parties
- Create transaction documents as required based on the requirements, instructions and details of each transaction
- Obtain signatures and notarize documents
- Work with title and underwriting to clear title exceptions
- Receive, disburse and obtaining funding approval for escrow closings
- Timely submission of accurate documents for recording
Education
High School diploma or equivalent.
