ChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire a Full time Medical Assistant I to support the Primary Care, Woodstown practice.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. To deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.
Work Schedule :
- Mondays-Fridays : Day Shift
- Flexibility to work until 6 : 00 or 7 : 00 on assigned days.
- No weekends or holidays
Responsibilities :
Greets and supports patients virtually or on-site within the practiceRooms patients for on-site visits and prepares patients for virtual visits to include taking and recording patient vitals.Performs point of care testing, injections, medication administration and EKGs as per practice needs.Assist clinician with examinations / proceduresPrepares exam / treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipmentCompletes necessary patient-specific paperwork as per practice needsEnsures EMR is up-to-date with all pertinent test results in preparation for next visitHandles patient call backs relaying information per the direction of providerAs per state guidelines, performs sterilization of medical equipment per practice needsHandles prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills based on practice needs.Performs other related duties as required.Benefits & Incentives :

High School Graduate or Equivalent.A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program orHold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying.
