Job Summary:

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking to hire a Staff Phlebotomist 2, whom will have responsibilities for performing Phlebotomy and Customer Service with minimal guidance. The Staff Phlebotomist 2 is responsible for accessioning specimens or patient tissue materials for testing including packaging specimens or tissue materials to be sent out to referring laboratory. The Staff Phlebotomist 2 works closely with all laboratory staff, medical staff, and external customers. The Staff Phlebotomist 2 performs customer service functions including telephone etiquette and basic troubleshooting and problem resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Performs Phlebotomy to age specific guidelines.
* Receives and triages specimens.
* Prepares specimens and patient materials for shipping.
* Provides general clerical support.
* Provides general clerical support.
