Job Title : CAD Technician I

Job Location : 2121 Airline Drive Suite 500 Metairie LA 70001.

Primary Function :

Perform drafting duties using basic drafting skills and techniques for medium / high voltage substation or transmission line drawings. Assignments are closely supervised and are designed to develop the employees understanding of drafting techniques corporate / client standards and procedures. CAD Technicians will either be dedicated to Electrical Transmission or Civil / Structural design projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions :

• Revise CADD drawings per engineering markups
• Perform engineering support tasks under direct supervision (e.g. transmittals)
• Learn and apply the corporate / client standard of drafting and engineering practices
• Learn and properly use document management systems
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his / her work
• Bring potential project-related problems and possible solutions to the attention of the responsible party
• Travel out of town for short periods of time as required by projects and assignments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Associate degree in drafting & design is required. A certificate in CAD drafting & design with relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an associate degree.
