Position Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure of BMSC and ensuring that systems and processes are optimized for efficiency, productivity, and security.

This position involves developing and implementing an IT strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives, as well as managing a team of IT professionals.

• Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing the company's network infrastructure, ERP systems, and IT infrastructure;
• creating dashboards that integrate with databases to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs); collaborating with other departments to understand their technology needs and develop solutions that support their goals and objectives;

and supporting manufacturing operations by providing technology solutions that optimize production processes and enhance product quality.

The company is in the business of manufacturing personal care products and as such, the IT infrastructure extends into true production environment and integrates with robotics and manufacturing equipment.

The position will work cross-functionally with Operations, Accounting, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Sales, and Quality to develop an integrated approach to Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Develop and implement an IT strategy that integrates communication and data exchange to support the company mission.
• Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of all technology systems, including hardware, software, networking, network security, ERP systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WIFI, and VPN connectivity.
• Ensure the company's ERP systems and databases are optimized to support manufacturing operations and business processes, and oversee upgrades and enhancements as needed.
• Develop and maintain reports using Crystal Reports, SQL databases and Excel Data Connectors to support business needs.
• Create dashboards that integrate with databases to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide real-time insights into business operations.
• Ensure that all IT systems and processes are secure, and that appropriate measures are in place to protect the company's data and intellectual property.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Engineering and Operations, to understand their technology needs and develop solutions that support their goals and objectives.
• Support manufacturing operations by providing technology solutions that optimize production processes and enhance product quality.
• Implement and develop new systems as needed to support the business.
• Monitor, develop and analyze key IT performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Create and maintain budgets for IT spending and work cross-functionally to ensure the necessary support of all departments.

Technical Skills Required

• Extensive experience in managing complex IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking.
• Strong understanding of network security and cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience managing ERP systems and databases, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical skills in report writing using Crystal Reports or other reporting software.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team of IT professionals.

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful IT strategies that support business objectives.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Physical Requirements

• Employee may be asked to lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
• Works inside in an open office and manufacturing environment.
