JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary / Objective

The Team Lead – Mortgage Processing & Closing is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both mortgage processing and closing functions. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant handling of mortgage files from application through funding. The Team Lead serves as a subject matter expert, provides guidance and support to processors and closers, and acts as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless mortgage experience.

Leadership & Oversight

• Provide daily direction and support to Mortgage Processors and Closers.
• Monitor pipeline to ensure timely processing and closing of loans.
• Serve as escalation point for complex files or issues.
• Conduct regular file audits to ensure compliance and quality.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.

Travel

Limited local travel may be required for this position.
