About Us :
Blue Heron Programs is a community-based behavioral employment program that supports adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our Employment Counselors (ECs) work closely with Program Managers (PMs) and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The BCBA develops individualized behavioral plans that ECs can implement throughout their daily support, using positive strategies tailored to each participant's goals.

Meet daily with 2 participantsPlan and lead activities that support in the development of new skills and new behaviors related to your participants goalsSupport participants through job readiness and soft skills curriculumSupport participants to develop coping skills that help them in their daily livesUse behavioral strategies to encourage growth, build resilience, and foster positive daily habitsHelp participants understand and manage behavioral challenges in a supportive and respectful way, using positive reinforcement and individualized strategiesProvide transportation for participants to and from program activitiesPlan weekly schedules with participants focused around their goalsAttend daily virtual staff meetings and bi-weekly 1 : 1’s with your managerLead in person and virtual activities to support social connections between participantsOnce participants secure a job, provide support at their worksites to ensure success in their job dutiesOther duties as neededRequirements :
High school diplomaA reliable car (4-door, minimum 4 seater)Clean driving recordClean background checkWorking computer and high-speed internet capable of connecting to ZoomCPR / FA certification (within 30 days of being hired; we reimburse this cost)
