Position Summary :
- Safety and Support Representatives provide support to direct care providers by provide supervision of consumers. Engaging youth and adults in problems solving safety and support concerns they assist direct care as needed with meeting patient needs, activities and responsibilities, modeling safe and positive behavior and using effective problem solving skills. Safety and Support Representatives are responsible for adhering to the Employee Manual, Operations Manual and organizational policies and procedures in completing job responsibilities. When needed, a Safety and Support Representative may act in a Lead Capacity when Program Director and Program Managers are absent from Unit based upon workloads and staffing requirements.
Education :
High school diploma or GED from an accredited high schoolExperience :
At least one year related experience and / or training; requires Intermediate computer skills in typing / keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook emailPreferred Experience :
Experience working in a behavioral health setting or related field focused on serving individuals through the use of trauma informed and person centered approaches. Experience engaging individuals experience behavioral health crisis is preferred.Certification / Licensure :
At least 21 years oldValid Drivers LicenseValid Auto InsuranceJob Duties / Responsibilities :
Supervises unit activity and patient movementResponsible for keeping the unit safe, clean and orderlyFamiliar with patient goals; able to follow individualized treatment plans for patients provided by team of professionalsProvide needed supports to youth and adultsAssist with patient supervision and engagementProvides crisis intervention and initiates emergency response plan, when necessaryCompletes required documentation, forms and reports per agency's policy and procedures; enters documentation accurately and timely per required deadlines utilizing CMC Hospitals computer software programsDocuments relevant information on each client regarding their behavior and interactionsUtilizes CMC’s HRIS system to keep personal profile up to date, record PTO, source information on benefits, and stay abreast on company updatesProvides transportation for patients to visits and other appointments as needed and directedMay assist in meal preparation and laundry as needed and directedAttends staff meeting as directedAttends and completes all required in-service training and course work on an annual basis per agency requirementsOther duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.Join us :
