This role involves being the Army's foremost expert in tactical and technical explosives. You will have advanced training to disable and defeat explosive devices and weapons of mass destruction.
Key responsibilities include :
Conducting research on military weapons
Assisting leadership with the use of robotics for various purposes
Disposing of hazardous objects
Carrying out missions globally across all environmental conditions
You will also acquire knowledge in :
Electronics and robotics
Detection and destruction techniques
Chemistry and biology principles
To become an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist, you must meet certain requirements, including citizenship status, age range (17-34 years), a high school diploma or equivalent qualification, compliance with tattoo guidelines, and eligibility for a Top Secret Security clearance.
In addition, you will undergo certification and testing processes including 16 nationally recognized certifications, 10 weeks of Basic Training, and 36 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
