Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol Full-Time in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for visitors and tenants. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. By conducting routine patrols and remaining visible, you will play a key role in supporting a welcoming atmosphere. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday to Friday : 4 : 30 PM - 1 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail or mall location, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and / or employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered during patrols.

  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Primarily driving post experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
