Job descriptionRequired : Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC, CAAC, or CAADC) recognized by the New Jersey Certification Board. Preferred : Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a health-related field from an accredited institution. Licensed professionals (LCADC, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LAC, or LCSW) are strongly encouraged to apply. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical dependency setting (preferred). CPR certification (employer-provided if not already certified). Job Overview
Substance Abuse Counselor at Enlightened Recovery — full-time. This role is ideal for a passionate professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the recovery journey of adults in need.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate group therapy sessions at the Intensive Outpatient (IOP) level of care and Outpatient (OP) level of care.
- Manage a small caseload, including conducting individual counseling sessions to support personalized treatment goals.
- Maintain effective communication with the Program Director and clinical team.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
- Complete all documentation in accordance with state regulations and Joint Commission standards.
