The role involves performing direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Maintaining professional accountability for the provision of patient care is essential. The position requires evaluation of the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordination of patient care in conjunction with other departments is necessary. Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information is crucial.
