The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, ensuring the organization’s financial strength and operational excellence. Overseeing Finance, Facilities, and Information Technology, the CFO will guide fiscal strategy, optimize systems and resources, and support mission delivery through strong financial leadership and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, analysis, and reporting to ensure sustainability and mission alignment.
- Oversee cash flow, accounting operations, audits, and internal controls for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with program and administrative leaders on budget management and financial performance.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and insurers; oversee investment and risk management activities.
- Drive operational efficiency through process improvement, technology, and fiscal discipline.
- Evaluate and manage capital structure, funding strategies, and growth opportunities.
- Support assessment of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
Facilities Oversight
Direct facility operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and alignment with program needs.Lead capital improvement, maintenance, and sustainability initiatives.Provide vision and oversight for IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.Advance digital transformation and data management to strengthen efficiency and service delivery.Foster innovation through technology-driven solutions and process improvements.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.CPA or equivalent credential strongly preferred.15–20 years of progressive finance and operations leadership, ideally in nonprofit or human services settings.Deep expertise in nonprofit accounting, grant management, and compliance.Proven success leading cross-functional teams, including IT and Facilities.Strong analytical, communication, and strategic planning skills.Proficiency with financial systems and data-driven decision-making.Collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented leadership style.Seniority level : Director | Employment type : Full-time | Job function : Accounting / Auditing | Industries : Non-profit Organizations
