Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07 : 30 - 16 : 00)

Hours per Week : 40

No call, no weekends, no holidays required

Patient Population : Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020

PACU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (Texas RN jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PACU, post-anesthesia care, or perioperative nursing

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Experience with a variety of surgical procedures, including abdominoplasty, ambulatory OR, pediatric dentistry, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, tracheostomy, and more

Ability to provide clinical care for diverse patient populations

Altera charting experience preferred (not required)

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in the PACU

Monitor and assess patient status, vital signs, and pain management

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on post-operative care, recovery, and discharge instructions

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Participate in orientation and complete required training modules
