We are looking for a compassionate attorney seeking a flexible yet impactful role. Our small but rapidly growing law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join our team. This unique opportunity offers the autonomy of a primarily remote hybrid work environment primarily remote, allowing you to serve clients from your preferred location, and scheduled in-person presence required for court appearances, non-remote mediations, and essential client meetings at the Courts in the counties of Anne Arundel, Prince George's, and Baltimore.

We handle a caseload, offering clients options for representation, including unbundled and limited scope services, ensuring a challenging and rewarding practice. Compensation :
$100,000 - $250,000 yearly commensurate with experience
Responsibilities :
Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of actionManage a comprehensive caseload of family law matters from initial client intake to final resolution, including divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support / alimony, property division, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, paternity, domestic violence, and post-judgment modifications.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop sound case strategies.Draft, review, and file a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and parenting plans.Strategically prepare for and confidently represent clients in all required court appearances, hearings, and trials in Maryland courts.Lead and participate effectively in mediation sessions, advocating for favorable client outcomes.Maintain consistent and empathetic communication with clients, providing clear explanations of legal processes and managing expectations in often emotionally charged situations.Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve amicable resolutions where possible, while always being prepared for zealous litigation.Oversee and collaborate closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.Manage a caseload of active family law clients, prioritizing tasks and meeting all deadlines.Stay abreast of current Maryland family law statutes, regulations, and case precedents.Contribute to the firm's growth by maintaining high standards of client service and potentially participating in business development initiatives.Qualifications :
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situationsActive and in good standing bar member in the State of Maryland.Must have handled at least 25 hearings and / or trials in the Circuit Court.Have entered attorney appearances in at least 100 family law cases.Experience with Maryland family court procedures, including first-chair trial experience.Demonstrated ability to educate clients through a family law case.Knowledgeable regarding family law practice and procedure within Maryland counties, including Anne Arundel, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Prince George's County.Research facts and evidence involved in each case, such as financial records, evaluations, home studies, expert reports, and pleadings.Develop case strategies, including opportunities for quick and cost-effective resolutions for clients rather than time-consuming and expensive litigation.A compassionate advocate with experience navigating high-conflict, emotional cases with a client-centered approach.Ability to delegate to paralegals and legal assistants when necessary.Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software.Reliable high-speed internet access and a professional, dedicated home office setup.About Company
