Computer Science Online Graduate Program Specialist
The Department of Computer Science at CU Boulder welcomes applications for the Computer Science Online Graduate Program Specialist (or Senior Specialist) to serve as the advisor for online graduate students, currently MS students using the Coursera platform, within the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS). This position is responsible for proactive outreach and communication to prospective and current students, under the guidance of the Program Manager, for the MS-CS (Master's in Computer Science). Additional advising and programmatic support may also be allocated to the MS-AI (Master's in Artificial Intelligence) degrees within the Department of Computer Science. This position informs students of their degree requirements and tracks their progress towards enrolling for credit in the degree program; supports the Program Manager to inform prospective students about the nature and content of the programs' curricula; helps prepare students to successfully enroll in their degree program, and provides outreach and recruitment opportunities to a diverse online community. In addition to the responsibilities outlined above for the Graduate Program Specialist, a Senior-level Graduate Program Specialist would also maintain their regular student caseloads, but will be assigned a greater scope of work and will be engaged in a higher level of activities. This includes, but is not limited to, contributing in an expanded role by performing elements of service to the college and / or campus graduate advising or on-line teaching community. The Computer Science Department (CS) is committed to developing collaborative, student-centered relationships between Graduate Program Specialists and graduate students that support achievement of academic success, and promote personal and professional development of students. The CS Online Graduate Program Specialist supports students through a developmental, student-focused approach. This position is charged with developing and implementing advising strategies and interventions to enhance the performance and persistence of students and support the graduate education mission of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence online programs in a scalable way. This position is tasked with facilitating and coordinating innovative recruitment and outreach strategies for a diverse, global online community, and will work with the Program Manager and Sr. Online Graduate Program Specialist to develop tracking for engagement, outreach, and ROI for prospective and enrolled students.

What You Should Know
Normal business hours (i.e. 8 : 00 - 5 : 00, Monday-Friday) with some variability in the work hours due to the supported programs being fully online. This position may be eligible for remote work days and / or a hybrid work modality, consistent with the College of Engineering and Applied Science Hybrid Work Policy.
What We Can Offer
The starting salary range for the GPS is : $58,000 - $65,000. The starting salary range for the Senior GPS is : $65,000 - $69,000. Relocation assistance is available within department guidelines.
