Electronics Research Engineer

MSR Technology Group DBA Infomatics has been an Inc 500 / 5000 corporation for the last 7 years in a row. We have an urgent need for an Electronics Research Engineer, and this is an Onsite role in Ann Arbor, MI.

Title : Electronics Research Engineer

Duration : Long Term Contract

Pay Rate : $45 per hour on W2

Responsibilities

• Conduct work to meet project targets and key performance indicators (e.g., reports, and project milestones).
• Design and develop custom electronic circuits for proof?of?concept devices and demonstration units; create schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, and component specifications.
• Perform circuit simulation and analysis using industry?standard tools.
• Design compact, robust packaging solutions for electronic assemblies, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and shielding requirements.
• Collaborate with teammates on enclosure design, thermal control, and integration.
• Design control circuits for laser systems and optical components; implement laser safety protocols and interlock systems.
• Develop precision timing and synchronization circuits for chip?scale laser applications.
• Work with vendors to build and test prototype circuits and assemblies; conduct performance validation and troubleshooting.
• Document test procedures and results.
• Work within cross?disciplinary research teams to deliver prototypes, intellectual property, and publications (an active interest in publishing is highly desirable).
• Participate in and support workplace safety culture and activities.
