Senior Growth Software Engineer

Fleetio is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Growth Software Engineer to join our dynamic Growth Engineering team. This role is perfect for individuals who have a strong eye for user experience, enjoy diving deep into data, and thrive in a collaborative cross-functional environment. As part of your responsibilities, you will research opportunities and conduct experiments to ensure that Fleetio users receive tailored onboarding experiences that set them up for long-term success.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

With extensive experience in planning, designing, and building features that enhance trial user engagement alongside Product Managers, Designers, and Quality Engineers, your effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate are crucial to your success. This role is part of the Product Engineering department, reporting to the Engineering Manager, Web.

As a Senior Growth Software Engineer, you will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, our Data Ops team, and fellow engineers to research, plan, design, and implement features that drive user adoption of Fleetio's products. You will develop engaging user experiences throughout the application, experimenting to boost engagement among trial users. Additionally, you will create systems for personalized onboarding during the trial period and enhance various app modules to increase usage and decrease churn. Given that the Growth Engineering team is in its formative stages, your input will greatly influence the direction of both the team and the overall product experience.

Your Experience :

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
• 2+ years of experience with ReactJS and Typescript
• Previous experience working on a Growth Engineering team
• Diverse experience in building full-stack web-based systems and features
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases, like PostgreSQL
• Prior experience with unit testing frameworks
• Excellent written communication skills
