Position Overview :
We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate our Field Service Truck and work in the Shop, Monday through Friday from 7am-3 : 30pm or as scheduled.
We offer competitive hourly rates ranging from $25 to $50 per hour, based on experience , along with comprehensive benefits including Health Benefits, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and a Simple IRA with Employer Match.
Responsibilities :
- Perform maintenance and repairs on construction machinery and equipment.
- Operate Field Service Truck efficiently to reach job sites promptly.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Welding and fabrication as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Requirements :
- 2 to 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in operating a wide range of tools and equipment.
- Strong welding skills and ability to fabricate parts.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
- Thorough knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- CDL-A license is a bonus
- Experience working with brands such as CAT, John Deere, or Komatsu.
- Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program.
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software.
- Experience with GPS and telematics systems.
