Job descriptionVocational Certificate or equivalent 2–5 years of relevant experience (Diesel engine repair : 2 years — Required) Current Class A or B CDL Hazmat Endorsements Experience with home heating oil delivery vehicles Hands-on with Freightliner diesel platforms Knowledge of fuel oil trucks and pumping systems Experience with Mercedes Sprinter diesel vans Technically strong; safety-focused, meticulous, and dependable Works well independently with minimal supervision; strong sense of ownership Job Type : Full-time Pay : B scale $36–$40; A scale $45–$50 Benefits package available 401(k) with 401(k) matching Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Employee discount Referral program Work Location : In person Ability to commute : New Hyde Park, NY 11040 (Required)

We’re expanding our maintenance team in New Hyde Park, NY and seeking a Heavy-Duty Diesel Maintenance Specialist to service and repair our oil delivery fleet. If you thrive on diagnostics, take pride in safe, thorough workmanship, and enjoy working independently, this role is for you.
Core Responsibilities
- Vehicle condition assessments through inspections and diagnostic testing
- Detection and replacement of worn / damaged parts
- Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair
- Electrical wiring diagnosis and repair
- Brake system servicing and repair
- Preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
