Job description

Summary :

  • This position supports laser operations by loading sheet metal onto laser machines and organizing finished parts after cutting.
  • It involves clear communication with laser operators and the handling, labeling, and sorting of parts for downstream processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Load prepared material onto laser machines per operator instruction.
  • Communicate with laser operators to confirm material readiness and requirements.

    • Unload finished laser-cut parts and apply identification labels.

  • Sort and organize cut parts for delivery to appropriate shop areas (e.g., brake press, shipping, or secondary operations).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laser work area.

    • Skills & Qualifications :

  • Basic understanding of shop workflow and material handling practices.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and handle sheet metal safely.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills.
  • Prior experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus.
