Outside Sales Representative Job Purpose : Build and maintain propane order volumes and market share by locating, developing, closing, and maintaining sales relationships within an assigned group of customers and / or territory.

Job Duties :

• Personally visit client sites and offices throughout the area to generate sales, maintain and develop relationships, and expand the customer base
• Locate new customer relationships through networking and cold calling
• Develop relationships with potential new clients and expand relationships with existing clients
• Close new business deals by prospecting leads, negotiating pricing, and closing sales and repeat orders
• Network through industry and social events
• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential, using discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism at all times
• Grow market share and volume by exploring and embracing assigned opportunities

Skills / Qualifications : Selling and closing skills, sales planning, time management, customer focus, market knowledge, meeting sales goals, professionalism, and reporting. Propane familiarity is a plus!
