Position Summary
The Superintendent will lead field operations for ground-up and tenant-improvement commercial construction projects across the greater Seattle area. This individual will be responsible for driving schedule performance, managing subcontractors, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site construction activities from mobilization through turnover.
- Manage daily field operations, including supervision of subcontractors, craft labor, and field coordination.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing, and manpower planning.
- Enforce company and OSHA safety standards to achieve zero-incident job sites.
- Conduct site meetings, coordinate with project management, and ensure timely communication of field progress and issues.
- Collaborate closely with project engineers and superintendents to identify and resolve constructability challenges.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify scope and quality compliance.
- Manage quality control procedures and ensure all work meets project requirements and client expectations.
- Foster positive relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners.
Qualifications
8+ years of construction experience, with at least 3 years as a Lead or General Superintendent on commercial projects.Proven success overseeing ground-up, tenant improvement, or life science / healthcare builds.Deep understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, and safety protocols.Strong communication and leadership skills, with a focus on collaboration and mentorship.Proficiency in Procore , Bluebeam , and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project , Primavera , or Phoenix ).What’s Offered
