We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Worldwide Operations Human Resources team as an HR Investigator supporting our US locations. The central objective of the North America Centralized Investigation team is to thoroughly and expeditiously investigate all associate concerns in a fair, unbiased and consistent manner. The ideal candidate for this position has strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrates an ability to earn trust, dive deep and work successfully on a broad spectrum of employee and labor relations issues and business challenges. Key job responsibilities include :

• Investigating highly sensitive HR and Employee Relations issues, including conducting complainant, witness and subject employee interviews; analyzing data from various internal systems; case adjudication; proposing remedial action based on investigation findings; production of completed investigation documentation
• Independently managing assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively
• Designing, collecting, and analyzing multiple levels of employee and stakeholder feedback
• Analyzing aggregate casework data to identify issue trends and opportunities for proactive issue mitigation
• Analyzing casework trends and producing strategic recommendations to the business to proactively address systemic issues
• Partnering to engage in continuous improvement initiatives
• Partnering in analysis and revision of people programs, policies, and practices to sustain a positive work environment for all WW Ops employees
• Consulting and collaborating with business partners, Corporate ER teams, Legal teams, and 3rd Party Vendors on complex employee investigations
• Working reactively on critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and typically can only be successfully completed with limited time

Balancing time between projects and crisis-response is a critical component for success in the position.

Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree, work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays, and 5+ years human resource generalist experience or HR investigations specialist experience. Preferred qualifications include evidence of career development and / or evidence of superior performance in previous roles.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,900 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
