Institutional Municipal Trader

Markets provides solutions to clients with the means to manage their exposure through various derivatives, lending, and cash products across Structured Products Group, Rates, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Municipal Products Group, Credit Sales & Trading. Municipal Products Group (MPG) provides capital raising, financing, and interest rate risk management solutions for municipal issuers and institutional investors as well as market liquidity.
About this role :
Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Municipal Trader to join the Municipal Products Group. In this role, you will :
- Help clients achieve their objectives while delivering positive business results for Wells Fargo
- Provide liquidity to institutional clients through making markets and trading municipal bonds
- Manage and hedge municipal risk through various market conditions
- Consistently interact with established tier-one institutional customer relationships and maximize trading activity
- Provide market color and trade ideas to customers and MPG
- Partner with traders, salespeople, underwriters, analysts, bankers, and other business partners to deliver solutions to clients and help grow MPG
Required Qualifications :
5+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications :
Background that includes experience in the municipal marketEstablished relationships across the municipal industry, including active relationships with tier-one institutional municipal investorsUnderstanding of various marking segments, including high grade and high yield creditsKnowledge and experience with both tax-exempt and taxable municipal bondsStrong analytical skills and an understanding of all municipal productsOrganized, affable, and able to work in a collegial, team-oriented environmentSelf-motivated with exceptional communication skillsJob Expectations :

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates. $185,000.00 - $300,000.00
